Do you have one food you just can’t pass up? You’ll drive out of your way to purchase it? You can’t pass it up if it’s on the table in front of you? You hear its enchanting siren sound, beckoning you to the pantry or frig?
I have a hunch you have one. Maybe two. Okay, maybe several. What if you could release that craving? Seriously.
In an Emotion Code session for a food craving, we find out what trapped emotions are creating that “calling.” It’s often surprising. Some clients find their craving has roots in a stressful situation where that specific food just happened to be present at that moment. Others find it associated with a special relationship.
My own experience with one food had to do with a time in my life when crunch, salty, thin tortilla chips happened to be a food I was eating frequently when I was in a turbulent relationship. It was stressful. But the chips were tasty. So in future moments of stress, my body craved tortilla chips. When I used Emotion Code to release those associated trapped emotions, I no longer craved tortilla chips when I felt stressed.
How does this work? The subconscious mind is very — extremely — literal. It laid down a message that said, “She’s stressed and she’s eating tortilla chips; therefore, tortilla chips must be consumed during all moments of stress.” Remove the emotional memories of the stressful time when that first happened and the message gets erased from the subconscious.
Here’s the interesting part. One is unlikely to feel a big “whoosh” of recognition of the change at the moment. The emotional charge is simply removed. Days, even weeks later, you’ll suddenly realize you’re not craving that food anymore. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve inquired with clients days, weeks or months after the fact and asked how that food craving is going. In every instance, the client has, “You know, I hadn’t thought about it, but I’m not craving that anymore.”
Here’s just a few foods I’ve worked on with clients:
Dr. Pepper, corn tortilla chips, Hershey’s kisses, Honey Mama’s Chocolate Bar, Lay’s Potato Chips, Trader Joe’s Plantain Chips, hot French bread with butter, M&Ms candy, Diet Dr. Pepper, Magnum Chocolate Hazelnut Ice Cream.
